Geriatric Hip Fracture Education Module

I would like to invite your residents to participate in a research study that involves a short, online simulated patient case module aimed at improving knowledge about issues involved in the care of older adults. This activity will also involve surveys before and after the hip fracture case module. The objective of the surveys is to assess the effectiveness of this online teaching tool. Orthopaedic surgical residents and medical students are invited to participate.

Participation in this educational study is anonymous. Could you please invite the residents in your program to participate.

I am writing to you on behalf of Trinity Muscatine located in Muscatine, IA. Trinity Muscatine is seeking one or two Orthopaedic Surgeons to join their multi-specialty physician clinic. The ideal candidate(s) must be Board Certified/Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and have an interest in a variety of cases such as total joint replacement, trauma/fracture, tendon repairs and sports medicine. Currently there is one part-time Orthopaedic Surgeon covering a 30 mile service area, and a Spine Surgeon coming in to assist with procedures. There is a strong need for an Orthopaedic Surgeon(s) to join the community.

Muscatine, IA has a population of about 25,000 is located on the Mississippi River. The area is known for their shopping, lodging, restaurants and art centers. You will also find a wide variety of recreational activities such as: golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, boating and a large number of athletic teams including a professional rugby team and multiple soccer teams.
